How to Deal With Dead Transmitter Batteries

Written by Posted On Thursday, 26 October 2017 02:19

Transmitters send signal to your garage door for it to open or close. When these work intermittently or it fails to work completely, the usual cause of this problem is dead batteries. This common issue is easy to fix.
Here are the steps in changing your transmitter batteries:
1. Slide the door open and remove the old batteries. Other models require that you unscrew it before you can have access to the batteries. In this case, you need a screwdriver to open it.
2. Follow the + and – sign on the inside of the transmitter while you put in the new batteries.
3. Slide back the cover or screw once the batteries are in place.
Following those steps should make your transmitter function again. If something is still wrong, you can check other parts such as the transmitter door or photo sensor. To confirm these, you can ask for expert advice from your trusted garage door repair technician.
