Reasons Why Your Garage Door Could Dislodge From Its Tracks

Written by Posted On Monday, 06 November 2017 00:20

Your garage door is designed to prevent trouble by keeping your home and property secure. But sometimes, things can really get out of hand like when your door falls off its track all of a sudden. If that happens, the door has to stop operating immediately to prevent any serious damage. Understanding why your garage door could come off its track can help you prevent this problem from happening again.
• If the cables supporting your garage door are worn-out, it could be the cause of the door being detached. Cables become worn as they get old. At least once a year, check your cables for thinning, fraying, or other damage.
• Any obstacle in the track can cause your garage door to come off the system. While it can be fixed quickly, you won’t be able to use or gain access to your garage during the repair.
For safety purposes, it is best to have a garage door repairman put your door back on track.
