What to Do When Your Range or Oven Won’t Heat Up

Written by Posted On Sunday, 26 November 2017 00:36

It is next to impossible to whip up a meal without a range or an oven, unless you are a fan of vegetable salads, which you can eat raw. When you notice that your unit is not heating up, it is time to check on it to determine where the problem lies so that an appropriate solution can be given.

Here are several reasons why your oven or range would not heat up.
• The heating elements may not be working.
• The bulb or the temperature sensor is busted.
• The thermostat is set incorrectly.
• The calibration gauge needs to be reset.

You should check each one of these and see if one of them is the reason for your range or oven to not heat up. Consult the unit’s manual for troubleshooting techniques. There may be parts that you will need to replace, and if you do not know how to do it, you can call a professional appliance service technician.
