Imagine Renting Out One of These Famous Movie Homes

It’s no secret Airbnb has amplified the experience of traveling for people of all ages. More often than not, it makes traveling much more affordable and it allows travelers to experience life in their temporary location more authentically. The site features all kinds of homes (treehouses, houseboats, yurts, etc.) all over the world. Could it get any better? The people over at Empire Today seem to think so, as they created realistic-looking Airbnb listings of the homes from some of the most iconic movies.

Did you fall in love with the quirky apartment that mirrored the quirkier personality of Holly Golightly in the classic movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s? Well if it was on Airbnb you could stay there for an estimated mere $168 a night, which is a steal considering its location in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. You’d be in walking distance to a ton of eclectic restaurants and cafés, not to mention you’d be only seconds away from Tiffany’s. (Just don’t be alarmed if you find ballet flats in the fridge or hear the phone ringing from a suitcase.)

If you’ve dreamed of living in a huge mansion in New York, rather than a tiny apartment, Jay Gatsby’s home would be one you’d be interested in. The home would be perfect for throwing huge parties but is also a great place to get away from it all and relax among the 40 acres the property encompasses, including a private beach and tennis courts. You’d better have a hefty budget if you ever consider staying here, though, as one night would cost you an alarming $5,200.

The price tag on Gatsby’s house is nowhere near what you’d have to pay to stay at Batman’s place. It was estimated that to stay in Bruce Wayne’s stately manor, you would have to dish out a whopping $8,000 a night. You’d have Alfred Pennyworth as your personal butler during your stay though so it may be worth it.

Is Sam Baldwin from the movie Sleepless in Seattle your dream guy? With him taken, the next best thing would probably be to stay in his spacious houseboat on Lake Union. You really couldn’t go wrong with this one: you’d get to explore Seattle, experience living on a boat and you could brag that you stayed in the home from one of the most iconic romantic comedies of its time.

Into ‘80s cult classics? Listings for homes from Sixteen Candles and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off were also imagined. You could experience the home where Sam Baker grew up or visit Cameron Frye’s family home (just make sure to not mess with his dad’s Ferrari 250 GT California).

Everyone can agree it would be amazing to be able to experience your favorite movies up close and personal by staying in the homes that you’ve viewed from your television screen for years. Unfortunately, these listings don’t actually exist, however, there are homes that have supposedly housed famous celebrities on the site that may be worth a look.
