It's Time To Stop Using Paper Contracts and Start Using The Cloud

Written by Posted On Friday, 21 June 2019 11:01

The internet has brought many great changes to the way that things are done. A lot of technology has made it easier to do things that would have been extremely time-consuming before. As a result of this a lot of paper is saved because people are not in need of printers as much anymore. Cloud technology has come along and helped so many real estate agents that have been doing paper process documents.

The concept of document management software is something that a lot of people can put their time into to save time.

A Better Software Environment

If you work in real estate you may not be an IT pro, but you will find that companies that allow you to draw forms and send documents out to potential home buyers and sellers can be one of the best ways to save time. You get a chance to really maximize your time because you don't have to get printed documents that you will later have to scan and upload to a digital file anyway.

Convenience Of The Cloud

You can start with the digital file and keep this file in the cloud where it is secure and accessible at any time. As an agent you do not have to go back to the office to retrieve those files that you left. In most cases real estate agents would be able to pull these documents in the cloud up on their phone. Things can be reviewed and adjustments can be made without ever going to the office. That definitely is a concept that saves a lot of time.

Multiple Deals

You will have multiple contracts that will fall through. You do not want to spend so much time with paper when an offer is going to be adjusted a multitude of times. You may have an offer that the seller of the owner is going to reject. Why waste so much time with signing contracts that have to be printed out when the offer may be rejected anyway. When this happens a counter-offer may take place. This is another set of documents that have to be signed by the potential buyer. This can go back and forth with multiple buyers so it really makes no sense to waste so much time and money printing out contracts that are null and void when a counter offer is made. Sometimes the buyer and the seller of the home cannot come to terms on what they are doing. At times like this the deal may not go through it all. It is a waste of a lot of paper when this happens. If you are utilizing the cloud, however, there is less waste of time and less paper being wasted.

You also have moments where there will be issues with the contract because there may simply be mistakes that have been overlooked. These mistakes are easier to correct when you have software to help you do it.

What real estate agents will find helpful more than anything else is the ability to get these contracts to the right people in a matter of minutes. If all of your contracts are physical documents it may take a meeting to get the contract to the person every time that something has to be signed. This could take an entire day depending on where certain buyers may be.
