SUCCESS IS YOUR OBLIGATION | Torey'sThoughts Ep.21 from Philadelphia

Written by Posted On Friday, 03 June 2016 10:32

You heard me right.  Success is not an option.  It is your obligation, your right, and your duty to perform to your highest potential for yourself, your family, and the world around you.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Torey (some call me "T") and I help urbanites interested in real estate connect the dot's between what they think they know and what they really need to know to be successful in today's markets.  I have a passion for building businesses too.

This week I finished up reading a surprisingly remarkable book called "The 10x Rule" by Grant Cardone.  I say surprising because I have seen Grant's video content prior and was not nearly as engaged as I was reading this book.  It is a must read for everyone out there in my opinion.

One of the main sticking points Grant conveyed was his firm stance that "Success is your right, obligation, and duty".  I couldn't agree with this more.  You owe it to yourself and everyone around you to be successful and live up to your potential.  If you are not a success, frankly you are failure.  In my personal opinion, a certain element of not living up to your full potential makes you a failure.  Let me explain...

Before I do that though, you may have just read the above line and have taken personal offense to that statement.  To that I say "I am sorry, but it is the truth."  It is important to know you are a culmination of the choices you make on a daily basis, and at ANY GIVEN MOMENT you have the power to change the trajectory of your life by doing something different and taking action to live up to your potential.  This also means that you can turn this state of "Failure" into "Success" whenever you choose to invest the time, effort, and energy in yourself. You have one life to live, take charge of it and fulfill your natural abilities for the sake of yourself and everyone around you.

As hinted on just before, failure is the negative space between your full potential and where you are operating now.  You truly become successful when you operate at full capacity.  It is important to note that you can still be a failure and obtain material things such as money or your goals.  Fact of the matter is, you know your abilities and potential, so you are the only one who can judge you.  Look in the mirror and see if the "success" you think you are having is you actually you living up to your potential, or you still not laying it all on the line.  Everyone's natural abilities to achieve results are different.  How high are yours?

WHAT I DO:  I save you time and energy by guiding you throughout the home buying and selling process.

HOW I DO IT:  I connect the dots between what you think you know and what you don't yet know but need to know.  The internet can make us feel like we know it all and don't need a real estate agent, when in fact what it actually does is it gives us much more information than we know what to do with.  I blend my proprietary insight gained through many conversations, observations, and years of experience with what you already know to create a useful action plan to get us from point A to point B.  For all of the moments in between those big moments, I rely on consistent communication to prevent your mind from wandering away, so we can stay laser-focused on the end goal.

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT:  My approach.  I am a Millennial who understands real estate by internalizing why things work the way they do.  By understanding the "why", I can provide insight on a deeper level and align you with better opportunities in any market.  I get to understanding the "why" by working really hard and caring a lot about my clients and everyone around me.

ABOUT ME:  I became passionate about real estate when I thought it was really cool people owned big buildings (Even cooler that people paid the owners of those buildings more than what it cost them to own it).  From that day, I devoted a lot of time, effort, and energy to internalizing how to invest in real estate.  Flash forward to today:  I am not only continually learning on a daily basis, but i am also executing daily while paving my own path to spreading real estate insight and offering reliable real estate representation.
