Women 30% More Likely to Be Denied a Mortgage [New LendingTree Report]

A new study from LendingTree

Lending Tree analyzed the latest housing data and found that sole women mortgage applicants are 29.8% more likely to be denied a mortgage than sole men.   

States where sole female mortgage applicants are most likely to be denied:

  1. Louisiana
  2. Mississippi
  3. Alabama
  4. South Carolina
  5. Michigan
  6. Kentucky
  7. Wyoming
  8. Arkansas
  9. West Virginia
  10. Texas/North Carolina (tie)
