What to Do if Your Refrigerator is Not Cooling

Written by Posted On Tuesday, 10 October 2017 01:16

The refrigerator is one of the essential appliances you have in your home. It keeps food fresh and prevents it from spoiling for a longer period of time. If your fridge is not cooling, there is one thing that you can check first for yourself before calling for professional help.
Check if the condenser coils are dirty. It is usually found under the fridge. If they are dirty, they won’t effectively disperse heat. This can result to debris build up and your fridge becomes less efficient. Dirty condenser coils will make your fridge unable to maintain the temperature properly. You can try cleaning them first and see if it solves the issue.
If cleaning the condenser coils couldn’t address the issue, it could be caused by a defective condenser fan, evaporator fan, compressor or other parts. This is the time to ask help from an expert to see if the faulty part needs replacement.
