Getting Rid of Leaking Water on Your Refrigerator Door

Written by Posted On Thursday, 26 October 2017 00:23

When you notice a leak in your refrigerator, it is important to address it at once to avoid further damage to your unit. There are common reasons that your fridge may be leaking water: the unit is not leveled properly or the drain for defrosting is clogged.

These will result in flooding inside the unit. If one of these two is the culprit, you can easily correct it by arranging your unit correctly so that it is leveled or by unclogging the defrost drain.

Try to assess first where the leak is coming from. If the drain is not clogged and the unit leveled correctly on the floor, the problem may need professional help to be solved. It may be from poor installation or a certain part is busted that may need fixing or replacement. If this is so, it is better to delegate the job to a professional electrician.
