What Should I do If I Have Broken Garage Door Cables?

Written by Posted On Sunday, 26 November 2017 01:10

Together with the tension springs, the cable helps you lift the door up and down with ease. If the cable or spring breaks, the door tends to hit the floor with a bang. This is a very serious repair issue, so it is recommended to hire a garage door repair technician.
Handling the cables on your own is very risky. Due to the size and the weight of the door, it can crush any object underneath it if the cables are not repaired properly. Never attempt to bring your car inside the garage until the repair service is done.
Most importantly, never attempt to open or close the door until a technician attends to it. This can cause serious physical injuries and property damage. Keep kids and other family members away from the garage door until it is fully repaired.
