What Should You Do When the Weather Seal is Broken?

Written by Posted On Sunday, 26 November 2017 01:27

The weather seal is a multi-purpose feature of a garage door. It is primarily used to prevent moisture from accumulating inside the garage. In addition, it serves as a protection against insects and animals.
Due to rubbery texture of the weather stripping, it wears out quickly. Depending on your location, the material may crack or become. If you notice any of the following signs below, then you may need to replace your weather seal.
• The temperature inside the garage is too cold during the winter season.
• You notice precipitation accumulating inside the garage or on the walls during rainy or snowy days.
• There are cracks or holes on the bottom rubber of the garage door.
It can be hard to find the broken or worn out parts of the weather stripping, but you can hire a garage door repair expert to help you.
