Know When Your Garage Door Needs Lubrication

Written by Posted On Wednesday, 06 December 2017 00:14

Garage door will show signs when it is time for lubrication. The moment you hear weird noise from your door like screeching, banging, and groaning sound that means it is time for you to lubricate its parts. Once your garage door gets the proper lubrication, all those annoying sound will disappear.
There are a number of parts that require periodic lubricating like the springs, rollers, tracks and hinges. They need to maintain them at least once every few months to keep them running smoothly. When applying lubricant you have to ensure you put just enough amounts for each part.
Take note that plastic hinges don’t require lubrication since that can cause it to break down. In addition, avoid applying too much lubricant to prevent any excess amount from dripping on your car or on the floor. If you still hear annoying noise from your garage door, I suggest that you observe where the sound is coming from then apply the needed correction on that part.
