5 Types of Businesses That Should Invest in Coworking Space Property

There has been a lot of talk of coworking space for businesses. More and more entrepreneurs and business owners are taking a different approach to traditional office space in rental buildings. They are investing in open workspaces in large meeting rooms.

Not all businesses can work in this type of environment. There are 5 types of businesses that do the best outside of executive suites and in these shared workspaces.

1. Start-Ups

Brand new start-ups do not have the funds to get a loan to invest in their own commercial building. Instead, they need to spend their money on marketing and product creation. By investing in shared office space in a rental building, they can save their money for other important parts of the start-up.

2. Freelance Workers

There are a growing number of people that can work from anywhere. That includes tables at Starbucks, by the pool, on vacation, and in coworking spaces. All they need is wi-fi and table a to work at.

Their mobile business allows them to spend their work time at any location they chose, said Terry Johnson, manager at Local Office, modern coworking space in Houston TX.

3. Real Estate Agents

Real estate agents need a comfortable place to meet with their buyers and sellers. Many coworking spaces offer meeting rooms that can be booked by the hour, which means a realtor won’t need to spend a fortune for renting the office space.

This allows these professionals to have a quiet area to meet with their clients. It is also more comfortable for the clients to get together in a meeting room to discuss their real estate needs rather than at a fast food restaurant, says Jerry Mitchel from Keller Williams Memorial.

4. Project Management Companies

Businesses that offer project management can do a good portion of their job remotely. However, they may need to get together with fellow workers on occasion to handle business. Coworking spaces allow these teams to get work in an office environment for as many hours or days as they need to complete the project.

5. Recruiters and Headhunters

Those that are in the recruiting business can benefit from investing in shared office space rentals in order to help potential employees get ready for a job. While much of the recruiting process is done online, in person meetings are essential. A coworking space allows a headhunter to meet with potential candidates in a professional area.

Collaboration is one of the biggest draws to coworking spaces. These setups allow you to meet many different people and build relationships. Many small businesses and entrepreneurs are abandoning the traditional executive suites and investing in this type of commercial property.
