What’s the process?

The process of deciding to get a fibreglass pool can be both exciting and daunting. There is a lot of information to process and understanding what happens can help your decision. Evoke Pools have helped over 1,000 Northern Rivers families to create their dream fibreglass  poolscape.

Initial contact and site inspection for your fibreglass pool.

Once you have made contact with us, we will provide you with all of the information you require and arrange a suitable time to look at your site here on the Northern Rivers. This is when you will meet Dean, the owner, and operator or Evoke Pools. Dean is a licensed pool builder who has been installing fibreglass pools here on the Northern Rivers for over 20 years.

“Never sign a contract to purchase a fibreglass pool unless the licensed pool builder has carried out a full site inspection first.”

Important considerations when doing a site inspection are:

*Is suitable access available and what size machinery is required to dig your fibreglass pool hole.

*Can you fit the size fibreglass pool you want?

*Is your yard flat or sloping and will there need to be any retaining walls?

*What are your council’s regulations on the Northern Rivers?

*What is the best location and orientation for your fibreglass swimming pool?

* Will we need a crane to lift in your fibreglass pool?

*What would you like the quote from Evoke Pools to include ( e.g filtration options, heating, fencing, landscaping, etc) to compliment your fibreglass pool?

Happy with your quote? It’s time to proceed.

Signing the contract.

We use SPASA swimming pool contracts as they are specifically designed for the fibreglass swimming pool industry. Contracts are signed and you have paid your 10% deposit. This deposit gets your fibreglass swimming pool ordered and manufactured, we will then lodge your council application with your local Northern Rivers council. Once council approval is obtained ( 2 to 4 weeks), we will then book your installation into our schedule, notifying you of the start date.

Fibreglass Swimming Pool Installation

Installation of your  fibreglass pool is done in the following stages:

1) Site Excavation on the Northern Riversis usually complete in 1 day, once the hole is dug, the floor is screeded ready to lift the fibreglass pool into position.

2) Backfilling of pool, plumbing and setting up of filtration. This stage usually takes 2 days. By the end, the pool should be full of water with stabilized backfill around it and the filtration system set up.

3)Concrete Beam Installation. Your fibreglass swimming pool will have a minimum of 350mm x 150mm steel re-enforced concrete beam installed around it. It is also possible to extend this beam further to allow for additional tiling around the pool. Usually, this takes 1 day.

4) Installation of Pool Headers. This stage will take approx. 1 to 2 days depending on the size of your fibreglass pool. If there is additional tiling to be done, then it may take longer.

5) Pool Fence. In most situations on the Northern Rivers, this is the final stage as the pool fence is being installed into the tiles around your fibreglass pool.

6)Pool Handover. Your fibreglass swimming pool handover is done once everything on the contract is complete. During your fibreglass swimming pool handover on the Northern Rivers, the pool will be cleaned, the water will be tested and chemicals will be added to the water. We will then explain in detail everything you need to know about caring and maintaining your fibreglass pool and filtration system.
