How to Stand Out at Real Estate Trade Shows

Written by Posted On Monday, 12 August 2019 22:11

Trade shows are still one of the most effective ways for real estate agents and firms to meet with potential clients, form new working relationships, and showcase their businesses. These shows are an effective way to build brand awareness, and grab the potential tenant's attention with the help of trade show exhibits such as step and repeat banners, booths, pop ups, roll ups and more.

But it’s easy to get lost in the sea of exhibits and booths. How can you make a lasting impact?

Get Interactive

If you’re running a booth, your ultimate goal should be to catch people’s attention and keep them engaged. An interactive booth can help you do that.

In order to make an impression, your booth’s technology has to be useful. Next-gen technology can be used to:

  • Design custom homes
  • Give access to aerial maps
  • Provide virtual tours of homes and properties

Make sure that you and your staff understand how to use these technologies and more importantly, how to show others how to use them. Most of your clients will be familiar with using tablets and computers. Others may not be able to use these devices without some help.

Interactivity is important at trade shows, and it can help you close a deal without even having to leave the trade show floor.

Integrate Social Media

Social media has become a mainstay in our lives. Most people use at least one social media platform every day, and they love to post and share their life experiences on these platforms.

By integrating social media into your trade show booth, you can connect with clients before, during and after the event.

If you want to get people talking about your booth and brand, why not set up a photobooth (featuring your brand logo) for visitors to take photos and share on their social media accounts. Create some hashtags for them to use, and use signage to ask them to share their photos on social media.

On your end, you can use Instagram Live and Facebook Live to connect with your audience, give them a behind-the-scenes look at your booth, and answer questions. Live feeds will also encourage nearby clients to drop in and check out your booth.

Hand Out Techie Business Cards

Business cards are still an effective way to market and promote your services, especially in the real estate world.

Paper business cards are still the go-to option, but many real estate offices are experimenting with new and unique promotional items, like USB keychains. Consumers love these types of promotional items, and more importantly, they’ll use them on a regular basis. Each time they use these items, they’ll be reminded of your company and your services.
