Try to imagine that, there is a bank that credits 86,400 to your account every morning and does not report any balance from day to day.

Every evening the bank cancels any remaining part of the balance that you failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Surely, every day you would withdraw until the last penny!

In reality, each of us has a bank like the one described. It’s name is “Time Bank”.

Every morning, it credits you 86,400 seconds. Every midnight eliminates everything and any part that you failed to invest for a good purpose is lost forever.

The time bank does not allow any discoveries. Every day opens a new account for you and burns the surplus of the day every night.

If you can't use the deposit of the day, the loss is yours. You can't go back. There is no accumulation for tomorrow. You need to live in the present on the deposit of the day today and invest in order to get from it the maximum in health, happiness and success!

The watch is in continuous operation. You have to make the most of your time available today and take advantage of every moment you have!

Time management is key to achieving your goals and OKRs.

Managing your time is one of the successful strategies in life and work.

Time has immense value, let's find out!

The value of time

Knowing how to manage one's time is important because it is an irreplaceable resource …

  • To understand the value of a year's time, ask a student who has been rejected.
  • To understand the value of a month's time, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
  • To understand the value of a week's time, ask the editor of a weekly magazine.
  • To understand the value of an hour of time, ask two lovers who are waiting to meet.
  • To understand the value of a minute of time, ask a person who has missed the train.
  • To understand the value of a second, ask a person who has just avoided an accident.

Every second that becomes part of your past will never be part of your present.

Remember that time waits for no one. Yesterday is past. Tomorrow will be a mystery. Today is a gift.

Sometimes you have the feeling that you don't have enough time to do everything you want to do or need to do: this can lead to a buildup of stress.

It is important then that you develop effective time management strategies, to balance the OKR and it requires for study, leisure, work, family or whatever you do.

Think about it for a moment.

If you don't manage time, you won't be able to manage anything else!

The three indisputable aspects of time

Very often, however, we act as if time is plentiful and therefore we do not really pay much attention to managing it.

In reality, three indisputable aspects of time are …

  • It is not possible to buy it, in the sense that it is given equally to everyone, 24 hours a day for everyone;
  • It cannot be stopped, except metaphorically, and flows undaunted;
  • It is not possible to accumulate it, to be used at another time when you may need it more.

The ability to manage your time well is valuable in all aspects of life.

Some useful strategies are setting smart goals, breaking goals into smaller pieces, reviewing your with OKR Software.

Other strategies are setting priorities, organizing an action plan, persevering if things go not as you want and, above all, avoiding procrastination.

Once you have identified the ways in which you can improve your time management, you can begin to adjust your habits and behavior patterns to reduce any stress related to your lifetime. Unfortunately, as already mentioned, time is a special resource that experience teaches it is not possible to memorize or save for later use.

Seven steps to better manage your time

I'll list seven steps you can use to better organize and manage your time.

  1. Prioritize, because relatively small tasks can spend a lot of time in your day.
  2. Plan your every day, to feel more in control of your life, writing a list of things and putting the most important tasks at the top of the list.
  3. Break down big tasks into smaller tasks, so that by working on them one at a time, you eventually do them all.
  4. Learn to say no, even if it is not always easy, but to say no to a new commitment, makes you honor the obligations already taken and guarantee that you will be able to dedicate good time to them.
  5. Restrict distractions by setting the expected duration to carry out your important activities, during whose execution, isolated from people, things or unnecessary activities that can distract you.
  6. Delegate the activities you can pass on to others, leaving only the ones you absolutely must do.
  7. Take a break when necessary, in order to recover energy and leave again faster.

We all have only twenty-four hours in a day: let's use them very well because unused time cannot be recovered.

Your time has come to start managing the time you have available, don't waste time, start now!
