Maintaining a house can be time-consuming. You will have to take care of a lot of things to create a healthy environment for your family. Cleaning demands effort, time, and money. However, you can make it a bit easier by following a household cleaning routine.  A routine will help you to know when and how to clean a particular area. There will be no stress when everything is planned.

Household Cleaning Routine - Daily to Weekly Cleaning Schedule

What to keep your home looking amazing? Than it is important to follow a checklist to prevent a messy home. You should know which things you should clean daily and which things should be avoided for a week or month. Once you decide the cleaning requirements, you can plan accordingly. Here are a few tips to maintain the cleanliness of your home.

Daily Cleaning

In the daily cleaning, you will have to focus on those areas that you use more regularly. These areas need to be cleaned daily to create a healthy environment to relax after working throughout. Daily cleaning includes: make your bed, wash dishes, do the laundry work, pick and put away all the clutter, countertops wiping, and wiping kitchen and bathroom sinks. All these things need daily cleaning.

Weekly Cleaning

In the weekly cleaning, you will have to focus on common areas. For instance, cleaning your living room should be on the weekly to-do list. Better to clean a small part every day if time permits. If you plan to clean all the areas at the weekend, then it will demand all your time and effort.  As a result, you will be exhausted and cannot enjoy your weekends. Even if you do not have time to clean every day, you can finish a small cleaning job every day to make your weekends easier.

Yes, keep all the major tasks for Sunday. You can clean your rugs and floors on Sunday. Make sure you follow floor cleaning tips to ensure you are cleaning them properly. Wash your bedsheets on Monday and wipe interior windows on Tuesday. Clean your stove on Wednesday and wipe dirt and smudges on Thursday. Vacuum your furniture on Friday and clean exterior windows on Saturday. As you will be cleaning all these things every week, you will not have to give more effort on the cleaning.

Deep Cleaning

Professional cleaning services say you do not need deep cleaning regularly. But you will have to take extra caution to remove grime from all the possible areas at least once in a year. You should not plan to clean everything in a weekend. Plan an annual cleaning schedule and know the things that you should clean every month.  For example, you can clean the out-of-the-way areas in the winter. You can wipe down your cabinets in December and clean your refrigerator, large furniture, washer, and dryer in January. Steam clean your carpets in February. In the spring, you can clean screens and windows exteriors. You can wash comforters, blankets, and large bedding. In summer, clean walls, garage basement, dressers, and drawers. Fall can be ideal to reorganize your dressers and closets.

Last Words

Follow this household cleaning routine to make cleaning much easier. If you do not find the above schedule helpful for you, you can plan your own cleaning schedule and act accordingly.   The key is to plan your cleaning much before to make it hassle-free. Also, divide the task depending on the cleaning requirements.
