Orlando ranks among the best places to live in Florida, and for a good reason. It has warm weather, great entertainment options, gorgeous communities, and proximity to major tourist attractions like Universal Studios and Disney World.

In fact, Orlando has so much beauty to offer that it can be difficult to narrow down your choices to one neighborhood to call home. But don’t worry; this article will take you through some of the best neighborhoods in and around Orlando that you may want to consider if you are planning to move in here.

Downtown Orlando

Downtown Orlando is one of the biggest and most iconic urban centers in Central Florida. With a unique historical charm and the most impressive buildings to check out, it’s not difficult to see why so many people are drawn to this neighborhood.

The streets of Downtown Orlando are lined with trendy restaurants and entertainment, hipster coffee bars, the best seafood joints, and other bustling establishments that serve as ideal hangouts for people of all ages.

If you love visiting attractions, Downton has a lot to offer. Some notable attractions here include Lake Eola Park, the Orlando Science Center, Wall Street Plaza, East End Market, and Church Street. And for sports fans, the Amway Center hosts everything from concerts to basketball games to pro wrestling.

World Celebration

Located just north of Orlando on the shores of Lake Butler, Celebration is a rapidly growing neighborhood that offers a wealth of opportunities for residents.

Residents of Celebration enjoy living near Walt Disney World and can take a scenic boat ride over to the Magic Kingdom from Celebration’s private marina.

The neighborhood offers homes in various architectural designs, including Mediterranean, Colonial, and Victorian designs. It also features a variety of shops, grocery stores, and restaurants that make it convenient to shop in one location.

As one of the three EPCOT neighborhoods, Celebration is located near some popular attractions such as Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and Mission Space. If you are still unsure about moving to this neighborhood, these EPCOT’s attractions listed in this article can help you make up your mind.

Winter Park

Winter Park is a census-designated place within Orange County. It is home to Rollins College, The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, and acclaimed restaurants like Scotty’s Landing and SoCo Gourmet Kitchen.

Winter Park’s picturesque atmosphere features amazing green spaces, sidewalks for cyclists with biking trails, more than one hundred acres of lakes surrounded by waterfront estates, and park homes that accommodate nearly every need.

And it doesn’t stop there. If you love entertainment, you can catch a glimpse of some live theater at the Little Theater on Orange Avenue or go to a community performance at Rollins Center for the Arts.

Audubon Park

If you want a safe neighborhood with all the amenities you could want, look no further than Audubon Park. Located three miles from downtown Orlando, this neighborhood has well-maintained vacation homes with gorgeous custom additions to match your taste.

There is so much to explore in and around Audubon for nature lovers, including hiking trails and parks nearby. The neighborhood also has tree-lined streets and plenty of sidewalks for kids and pets to play on.

If shopping is your thing, Audubon has many boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants lining both sides of its avenues. You can also find some fantastic deals on items at The Mall at Millenia, which is only about 15 minutes away by car.

Park Lake

Park Lake is a beautiful residential neighborhood with convenient access to Downtown Orlando, Maitland, and Winter Park. Despite its proximity to other active parts of the city, Park Lake has managed to maintain its close-knit community feel.

The neighborhood has a variety of parks nearby, including the Bear Creek Recreation Complex, which offers sports fields, basketball courts, and a playground for kids. If you enjoy outdoor activities, there are plenty of bike trails, such as the Orlando Urban Trail, around Park Lake that could be perfect for your evening rides.
