APRIL RECAP | Torey Howarth's 2016 Goals Vlog Ep. 05 from Philadelphia

QUESTION OF THE DAY:  What did you learn this month?

It's that time of the month again.  Beginning of May means another goals Vlog.  I am doing this Vlog to depict my journey throughout the year in a real world sense.  Too often I see the grit of the daily grind being fantasized based only on the big moments in route to our goals.  This is an opportunity for you to get the real scoop while I am building my real estate business.

In relation to my goals, I am ahead on some, very far behind on the big goal:  Transactions closed.  At the end of the day, this business I am in is sales.  Many people are shying away from that word "sales" due to it's negative connotation but not all salesman are "bad" as you think.  Truthfully, your more than likely only notice the bad ones because they give you the equivalent feeling you get to when someone drags their nails on a chalkboard.

Big thing here is I am un-phased by this because the foundation of my business is developing much stronger than many of the business's of my counterparts.  I am playing the balancing act of driving revenue today and building revenue for tomorrow.  It is not an easy task, but I don't like easy so it works well for me.

THE BIG LESSON I LEARNED this month is about time.  I found myself working long hours for 7 days a week.  Problem was some of the hours in this long day were wasted due to my attention lagging because my brain or body was burnt out.  What I did to counteract this is focus on trying to have 30-50 minute periods of dedicated and focused work, and 10-20 minutes of having fun (or enjoyable) time.  I got out and experienced the world while clearing my head at the same time.

The results have been night and day.  Overall, I feel better, and have been able to accomplish more in my days since taking this approach.  If you care to have more you time, try it and let me know how you feel.

WHAT I DO:  I save you time and energy by guiding you throughout the home buying and selling process.

HOW I DO IT:  I connect the dots between what you think you know and what you don't yet know but need to know.  The internet can make us feel like we know it all and don't need a real estate agent, when in fact what it actually does is it gives us much more information than we know what to do with.  I blend my proprietary insight gained through many conversations, observations, and years of experience with what you already know to create a useful action plan to get us from point A to point B.  For all of the moments in between those big moments, I rely on consistent communication to prevent your mind from wandering away, so we can stay laser-focused on the end goal.

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT:  My approach.  I am a Millennial who understands real estate by internalizing why things work the way they do.  By understanding the "why", I can provide insight on a deeper level and align you with better opportunities in any market.  I get to understanding the "why" by working really hard and caring a lot about my clients and everyone around me.

ABOUT ME:  I became passionate about real estate when I thought it was really cool people owned big buildings (Even cooler that people paid the owners of those buildings more than what it cost them to own it).  From that day, I devoted a lot of time, effort, and energy to internalizing how to invest in real estate.  Flash forward to today:  I am not only continually learning on a daily basis, but i am also executing daily while paving my own path to spreading real estate insight and offering reliable real estate representation.
